The mission of The Heather J. The Foundation provides a network that includes access to safe-havens for the abused and their families. By empowering them through emotional support, emergency funding, job skills training, and other educational opportunities we strive to give help and hope to those in need in an effort to End the Silence and STOP the VIOLENCE!

MEBUS-LDRS-SIFE-KSU-GNG-IDS- What Does this All Mean?

We are closing in on what promises to be an excellent launch party for Heather's Voice Foundation slated for March 22, 2011. The event will be hosted by Kennesaw State University (KSU) on the Campus Green beginning at noon this Tuesday.

Tomorrow, Monday, March 21,please tune into Owl Radio at www.ksuradio.com to listen in on an interview with The Wayward Hounds who will be performing at the launch party with special guests, Chameleon.

We have been working very hard to bring all of this together in order to help victims of domestic violence. With the support of our wonderful sponsors, Leadership Studies (LDRS), Joel A. Katz Music &
Entertainment Business Program (MEBUS), Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), and Guitars Not Guns (GNG), and the Interdisciplinary Studies Program (IDS), and Paddy's Irish Eatery, we, Heather's family, are able to spread the word about the non-profit endeavors of Heather's Voice.

We hope that you will join us in our efforts to stop domestic violence. In addition to the work we will continue to do with the shelters, we will be getting geared up to teach elementary and middle school children anger management skills, self-esteem building, and making them aware of important resources should they ever need them.

By reaching out to the children, we hope that we will be able to diminish the numbers of abusers and victims for the future. We are very proud to have such support from our friends at Kennesaw State University. Please check back with us often and join us in our efforts.
