According to a report from the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence approximately 1.3 million women are victims of domestic abuse every year. Consider for a moment, by how much do you think that number would grow if we were to include abused men and children? The numbers are heart wrenching already.
Of course, we also should keep in mind the statistical information we will never have. There are a tremendous amount of victims who do not report the abuse.
There are victims that suffer in silence because they are afraid to speak out against their abusers. Perhaps some keep quiet because they are ashamed because they have been stripped of their self-esteem, or maybe they literally have no resources at all.
We may never know all of the facts involved in domestic violence no matter how much we try. But, we still have to take action and stop the abuse. Please post ideas here of what you can do to help keep Heather's Voice alive and help a person in need.

We need computers for the residents at 7 Bridges. They ca be old and slow, we don't care. They just need to learn some office skills so they can get jobs and move forward. If anyone has any laying around, please wipe them clean with a good program and post what you have! Thanks!
